Reviewer Board
The Journal of Law and Cultural Studies (JLCS) recognizes the essential contribution of reviewers in maintaining the quality, integrity, and academic standards of published research.
The Reviewer Board consists of scholars and experts with expertise in law, cultural studies, social sciences, humanities, and related interdisciplinary fields. Reviewers provide independent, objective, and constructive evaluations of submitted manuscripts to support the editorial decision-making process.
All reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, publication records, and expertise relevant to the scope of the journal.
Role of Peer Reviewers
Reviewers are responsible for assisting the Editorial Team in evaluating submitted manuscripts. Their evaluation contributes to ensuring that published articles meet international academic standards.
Reviewers are expected to:

Assess manuscripts objectively and fairly.

Evaluate the originality, significance, and contribution of the research.

Examine the appropriateness of research methodology and theoretical framework.

Provide constructive comments to improve manuscript quality.

Identify relevant literature that may strengthen the manuscript.

Report ethical concerns, including plagiarism, data manipulation, or duplicate publication.

Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
Reviewer Selection Criteria
JLCS selects reviewers based on the following criteria:

Academic expertise relevant to the manuscript topic.

A doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification (where applicable).

Research experience in relevant fields.

Experience in scholarly publication and peer review.

Institutional affiliation and academic reputation.

Absence of conflicts of interest with the submitted manuscript.
Reviewer Confidentiality
JLCS applies a Double-Blind Peer Review system.
During the review process:

Reviewers' identities are not disclosed to authors.

Authors' identities are not disclosed to reviewers.
-
Manuscripts and review comments are treated as confidential documents.
Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use unpublished manuscript information for personal or professional advantage.
Reviewer Ethics
JLCS expects reviewers to follow ethical standards based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Reviewers should:

Accept review assignments only within their area of expertise.

Provide unbiased and evidence-based assessments.

Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.
